    Yamaha SHO gear case

Changed my gear lube last fall as I always do. Sat over the winter, no issues. Pulled it out this spring took it for a ride everything went well couple days go by and all is good. About 7 days of sitting I noticed I’m getting a little bit of gear lube coming out of my weep hole the one on top. Has anyone had this happened to them.
    Thanks any info will help.

Not sure what you mean by"weep hole". If you mean it's coming from the top plug, it's likely caused by a leaking gasket. With the new style Yamaha black fibre gaskets (last 10 years or so) you don't want to over-tighten it. After it seats you only tighten it 45 degrees more. Any more than that and the gasket will tear and leak.

If it is the gasket causing the problem I didn’t care for the new black Yamaha ones. I ordered these and they look just like the old Yamaha ones. I can tighten them like I think I should and they have worked well for me.
