    Question Nitro Z21 w/ 2 stroke vs. 4 stroke

    Hey everyone,

I am looking to buy a 20ft+ Nitro but was curious if i should be wary of buying a 2 stroke. I found a beautiful 2017 Z21 with a 250 pro xs 2 stroke w/ 115 hours but worried with the discontinuation. Should i wait to find a four stroke or pull the trigger? I am just worried about longevity and parts if needed. I understand the maintenance part of it and letting it warm up / cool down. Came from an old 2 stroke Yamaha vmax. Any advice would be amazing thanks!

If you ever want to sell it I’d go 4 stroke. But then if the deal is too good to pass up, I’d have no qualms about the 2 stroke

Nothing wrong with it, that 2 stroke is faster and gets better fuel mileage than the new 4 strokes. They are very reliable too if you take care of them correctly.

I dunno about faster. Not sure where that info is coming from. Should be some good deals on more current boats soon. I know mine will be for sale soon. Have talked to several that are holding boats because of resale value.
