quest trolling motor and nmea 2000

I had my dealer install nmea 2000 for my new boat. it's installed to the console for engine data. I have helix 12 g4n at console and bow.

I will be installing the quest tomorrow plus my electronics. gonna add to the backbone to network the bow g4n. can I add another tee connector to the backbone to connect the quest via eithernet? does it matter which order? tganks

Quest does not use NEMA 2000. It uses ethernet with the round connector. If you going to connect both graphs and the motor you will need an ethernet hub for that.

NMEA and Ethernet are 2 different networks and do not interact

You will need a Ethernet network for the quest to graphs and it will allow the sharing of waypoints between graphs

The NMEA network is for the engine data and other NMEA devices like a point one gps/heading sensor
There are other devices but you won’t want or use most of them

Sense you’re only getting engine data via NMEA right now you may not want or need the data at the bow graph

Mitch has it right. Two different networks two different type connectors.
I suggest you google them both and spend some time reading about them.
