    Nitro z20

I just got a new to me 2022 z20 couldn’t be happier with the boat however I feel I should be getting a bit more bow lift than what I’m getting.

    250 pro xs 4 stroke

    new fury 24p

    1 125 a ionic lithium
    3 ionic 50 ionic lithium

    power poles

    atlas hydraulic

loaded with live wells full and my 2 sons

    70.2 gps

    5900rpm

what are you guys seeing in yours vs what I’m getting

I had a skeeter before and it wanted lots of lift

this one may be fooling me because of the way the seats sit just feel like I need to get the bow up more

I came from an older Skeeter and then a Bass Cat and I felt the same way in my Nitro at first. But I think it's normal, the bow doesn't lift that much and the boat just climbs right up and goes! Might be a little different in you Z20 with the 4 stroke, but I think it's just getting used to how the hull performs and the seats up higher. Congrats on the new boat!

Haha, that brings back some memories for me for sure!!! Mine was a 1999 ZX185C with the carb VMAX 150 - fun little boat, but it was an adventure getting on plane sometimes!

Lithiums it the back kill your bow lift and cost you 3-5 MPH. The Fury isn't a good bow lifting prop either. Add 100-150 lbs of weight to the battery compartment and see what happens, you can swap to a 24" pitch Tempest as well.

Do you actually have experience with setting up a z20? Not every boat benefits from heavier batteries.

i have a very similar setup to the original poster. My boat gets significantly faster with empty livewells and low fuel. Battery weight swapping to lithium made little difference, maybe a little quicker holeshot. Honestly your numbers look pretty good for 3 people and full livewells. In my experience the boat runs best with a 23 fury or a 24 tempest, keeping weight off the nose, empty livewells and low fuel. I can hit 73 lightly loaded with a 23 fury, but with full wells, fuel and a partner its more of a 67/68 mph rig.

Your numbers sounds good. By myself 1/2 tank gas no water in livewell 72.5 before chinewalk kicks in,
    Lead batteries (3) AGM(1)
