    Tyler Williams fishing style

Has anyone fished with him or seen him in action? Does he truly mainly fish the jig, or has anyone seen him use anything other than a jerkbait or a rig? Just curious if that’s genuinely his style—it seems pretty rare if so.

I would assume that the jig is his "staple" however as we have seen over the past few years utility is key to staying at the top. Being a specialist is not consistent enough anymore.

One tournament I watched last year I believe he primarily fished a jig mixed in a jerk bait as well. No different than say drew gill who primarily relies on a neko

There's lots of decaffeinated brands that are just as tasty as the real thing.

    Hi Mike.

By hearing anglers talk about him, I’d say it’d be a 75% of the time, at least. I don’t know what he does so special with it, or that is so especially hard to reproduce, but I’ve heard multiple anglers make comments eluding to knowing how he uses it, but not being able to get the same action or results.

dont think ive ever seen his jig not have that yamamoto flappin hog on it.. first thing i always think is i dont know if i could throw it with that as a trailer but obviously the way he uses it and that trailer is something special..

Isn’t he the kid that won a college tourney in a really old boat? If so I believe that win launched his career. Wonder if he kept that boat.

Back in 2020 he bought my Phoenix I had for sale, this was before he fished the opens and he was just a local stick in Maine

his dad called me and said he wanted my boat and wired me $65k the next day and never put a hand on my boat, I ran the paperwork through my dealer and left the boat to him and they sent a shipping company down and flatbed that boat all the way back to Maine from south Louisiana

his dad told me at the time that this kid was special and I will be seeing him on tv soon,
well guess he was right. I’ve talked to him few times after that and wished him liuck

Goodluck to him, good kid and good head on his shoulders
