Lowrance Transducer on Garmin Echomap assistance.

I’ve installed two EchoMap 126SV units on my boat and have networked them together. My goal is to use the glassed-in Lowrance transducer with one unit and the GT-56 transducer with the other. I’ve purchased a Garmin 12-pin transducer adapter and modified a Lowrance 7-pin to 9-pin adapter cable by splicing the ends into the transducer adapter.
Does anyone know which transducer setting I should use? My assumption is that the Dual Frequency (50/200kHz, 500W) setting would work best, but I also noticed an option for Dual Beam (200/77kHz), which might be a good alternative.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I have the temperature sensor on terminations 1(-) and 2(+)
I have the transducer wires on terminations on 7(-) and 8(+)

    You need advice from Todd.
My wife asks if I'm going to fish every day. I can't fish every day. Some days I might be sick.

You most likely have the common PD-WBL or PDT-WBL Lowrance pod-style transducer. If so, it is 83/200 kHz so you want to select MotorGuide 2D from the transducer installation menu.

The transducer is a FA XDCR HDI (502183746)—or at least, that's what the "void warranty if removed" label tells me (pretty sure that ship has sailed!). It’s a hybrid dual imaging transducer with Broadband Sounder (83/200kHz) and DownScan Imaging (455/800kHz).
What I really need is a 2D transducer for high-speed performance. From what I gather, the MotorGuide 2D transducer should do the trick. I did have to adjust the temperature sensor offset in the settings, but everything else is looking good. I’m hoping to water test the setup soon. So far, I’ve been pretty impressed with the Garmin gear—considering it’s been 7 years since I upgraded from my Lowrance Elite Ti units.

Thanks for the advice. I will report back once I do get the chance to get the boat wet. Low's in the high twenties and low thirtys for a few days here in Minnesota.

I finally got out on the water today with the boat and my two new Garmin Echomap 126sv Ultras. The in-hull Lowrance transducer performed flawlessly on both the 200kHz and 83kHz settings. I appreciate the tip on using the MotorGuide2D transducer setting—worked perfectly! The side scan on the GT-56 is a game-changer, a huge upgrade from my old unit. Thanks again, Todd! For anyone with a glassed-in transducer and a unit that's currently without a transducer plugged into it, I highly recommend connecting it.
