Ok, need some help here. Bought a 1991 175 faststrike J175GLEIS and at idle there is water coming out of the weep hole in a steady stream and gets stronger as the engine rpms raise. warm water coming out the exhaust. Heads are getting too hot to touch and no hot/warm water is coming out of the side slots on the lower unit when the t-stats open. Took t-stats out and replaced them OMC new ones. Installed correctly. With t-stats out,started motor for a second to see if water would come out the side slots but still nothing and inside the heads looks dry except for some steam coming out. Lower back part of lower unit is very very hot also. The HOT alarm does sound after a few minutes. ?????? Also, what is the rubber thingy at the rear lower of the back of the motor by the tell tale between the exhaust housing and lower cover that has 3 tubes coming out of it and spits a little water and exhaust
The VRO is new and intact!!! I know some take it off but mine is staying!!!
