    silicon molds

    for those that have made there own silicon mold can you use you use a new piece of soft plastic for your cavity or do you need something that is more rigid, and if so would 3D printed version be to porous to re lease from the silicon

    I’ve taken plastic lures brand new and used. I use a little bit of Vaseline on them it will stop the silicone from actually forming up around the lure the only thing is that you will have to wipe it smooth and then let it sit out in the sun to finish curing. If you really think the silicone is going to stick. But I would think even the 3d print should work fine. I’ve only used one type of silicone so I’ve heard others can be different. If you want fine detail do not use Vaseline.

    You can use a piece of soft plastic no problem. Just grease it up as stated above.
