Ultrex - Create and Follow Route

I've searched all over the internet and can't find an answer for this. I just installed a new Ultrex on my boat and have loaded the "one-boat network" app to my phone. I would like to create a route between waypoints for the motor to automatically follow. I can't find an option to create a route or record a route. Is it just not possible with my setup?

You should call Min Kota for that question, but I believe it is in the remote manual.

Start with page 36 of the remote manual.

    Quest or the old Ultrex?

On the old I used the remote to do it. I havent done it yet with the quest and apex/one boat.

Cannot record a Route, can only create one by listing waypoints.
Can record an iTrack for the motor to follow.

Thanks Bradrodfish and Mahomee. I think that manual would work if I had the "Minn Kota® Advanced GPS Navigation Wireless Remote", which I don't. I have a new Ultrex, but it's not the Quest version. It came with a "Micro Remote" which doesn't have the screen for gps navigation. I was attempting to do the same type of thing with the one-boat network app installed on my phone, but I may just be out of luck. Thanks to both of you for taking the time to respond.

With the old ultrex I used that big remote to record a I track. The tm has to be down. I would use this on dams, put my tm down then big motor along the dam 35 feet out ish and hit record on the remote.

Then you can use that remote or your connected screen with i pilot controls on to follow it from either end. I

That does make sense to me. I'm hoping to do the same type of thing off my phone screen instead of having to purchase a separate remote. I just submitted a request straight to minnkota. I'll post back whatever response I receive. Thanks again.

Here’s a link to the motor I purchased. I’m not seeing the terminology you mention, but I do see that my motor has autopilot but not copilot. That may be the issue.

I just received an email from Minn Kota with the following...

"I do apologize, however at this time we have had to remove the option to create and follow routes from the One Boat Network app as the feature was not working well and needs further development. We are working on it, but at this point we do not have an ETA on the return of this feature. This feature is available with the remote and compatible Humminbird fish finders, but not currently with the app. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Please let me know if you have any other questions."

I have been trying to determine how many spot locations are available on the Quest. My old Ultrex has 16 locations. I understand the old Ultrex I Pilot Link had unlimited locations. The new Quest has 20. Big Deal! You also have to buy the $300 remote to have that feature. Here's an email I got from Minn Kota about this.

"The Micro Remote included with the Ultrex Quest does not have the ability to save Spot Lock locations, nor can these locations be stored in the trolling motor itself. However, if you opt to purchase the full-sized Wireless Remote, you’ll gain the ability to save up to 20 Waypoints (saved Spot Lock locations) and 20 iTracks, each up to 2 miles long.

Currently, the One Boat Network app can also save up to 20 Waypoints. However, please note that the app’s "Go To" feature is not yet available. This means it cannot direct the trolling motor to navigate to a saved point, and the Wireless Remote cannot access the Waypoints stored in the app, as the two systems are not interconnected at this time."

This was a deal breaker for me.
