    Ultrex problem

    In a tournament yesterday and my Ultrex was working fine then all of a sudden it quit. I checked all my connections and all good, so I started spinning the prop by hand and it went back to working or so I thought. As soon as I took my foot off it quit the next time I tried to go nothing. Finally got it back on so I switched it to constant and it would run on all speeds so I just adjusted the speed and kept fishing. Any ideas? It would work until you turn off constant then I would run to my next spot and have to wiggle it or spin the prop or lift it out of the water and back in to get it going again.

    Sounding like a motor brush issue if in fact your TM is a brushed motor.

    It is either armature problem or you have water intrusion

    Water was my first thought also.
    Loosen the lowest screw on the motor to see if water comes out.

    Sounds like your foot switch needs adjusting or replacing. Easy and cheap.
