I got my complaints about my team getting a raw deal. But what about some others. The West Virginia gov is so pissed he's threatening legal action. How did NC get in. Anything to do with their AD being the committee chair? Louisville an 8? Creighton a 9? Auburn has to feel like they took it in the shorts... #1 overall and they might have to play a Louisville home game in the first weekend...

Apparently, the NET means nada. Might as well throw it out like we did with the RPI. Doesn't look like they considered any of the other advanced metrics like kenpom or torvic.

UNC should’ve never gotten in. WV and IU deserved it over them imo. Seems to me every year the metrics change just so whatever teams they want in the tourney, they can make it happen.

NC getting in is an embarrassment. Better teams out there. AD could not be in the room when discussed home school.

I’m pulling for St John’s . I’m a Pitino fanboy from back in early 90’s. I like he seems to have his teams prepared.

Not only was NC 1-12 vs Quad 1 teams, but they also played in an ACC conference that is as down as it's been in several decades. Both Indiana and West Virginia played in tougher conferences, had more Quad 1 wins, and I don't believe either had a Quad 3 loss like NC had. I don't believe that the AD had anything to do with them getting in, but it definitely looks really bad for the credibility of the selection committee to make a decision this egregious.

How the Tarheels got in should get its own 1-hour special on Investigation Discovery. And Michigan is a 5 seed, while every team they beat to win the Big Ten tournament is a higher seed. Huh? We were 2-0 vs. Wisconsin (3 seed) and 2-1 vs. Purdue (4 seed). So if head-to-head matchups don’t matter, and conference tournament titles don’t matter, what does?

Since the NCAA has used the selection process. only two teams ranked in the top ten have ever been seeded 4 or lower. Louisville this year and IIRC, Michigan in 06

it's just stupid having people that don't know anything (relatively speaking) about basketball making the selection. ADs and conference commissioners certainly aren't experts. They should have some impartial basketball guys with some analytics guys and maybe a vegas odds maker or two to assist them as needed.

I know every year there are teams and their fans that feel mistreated... I get that you can never make everyone happy.. but the current process is ridiculous. We're told they have tools like the NET and other analytics like KP, etc. but the individual committee members don't have to use that. they can choose anyway they see fit.
