    Target lock issue

I'm at a loss here. This started last summer, tl won't do anything. I have a 2nd boat with tl so I swapped them and still nothing. They both work normal on the 2nd boat. Humminbird support has done nothing to help and I've had 2 local techs look and both have no idea what's wrong. Has anyone else had any issues like this? Tl will pair just fine and shows up on the network.

Does your graphs recognize the target lock?

Maybe a power cable issue or Ethernet issue??

The power is good and ran different ethernet lines yesterday. Also connected the tl directly to one unit with the same negative results

I suggest resetting the Target Lock defaults, forget then re pair and re-calibrate the TL heading sensor, and also re pair the foot pedal. I had that issue recently when I installed Mega Live 2 onto my Target Lock after having ML on it. Seems like if the heading sensor is not being properly recognized and calibrated, nothing else on it works, except the on screen controls would function. Doing the above restored the functions. Reboot and power cycle of the ML may also be needed after doing so.

Thanks venomvee. That has been done as well. The screen controls do not work either. Everytime i try to calibrate it fails too.

You stated that both ML's work with one boat but neither with the other boat-- "They both work normal on the 2nd boat" So you have demonstrated that is not a MEGA LIVE issue. That would be an issue with your other boat=fix your boat.

I had an issue like this last fall. Although not 100% same thing, since I did not have two TL and swapped them. In my case I could sometimes use the foot peddle or screen menu to turn the target lock but then it would stop. Sometimes I could manually steer it with the foot peddle but not with the minnkota steer enable. Sometimes nothing at all and I had to disconnect the cables and manually steer it by hand. Humminbrid ended up replacing all the parts on the TL except the shaft. In my case they started with the foot peddle, then the heading sensor, then the control box and finally the motor itself. Once the motor was replaced I didn't have any issues. If yours is still under warranty demand they start replacing parts or the entire TL. HB support will always try to the same play book or not much unless you push them.

When you swap it over to boat#2 that doesn't work, are you connecting the same control heads as the working boat is using, or do you have different control heads on each boat?
