Marine Technician wanted
Over the past few years I have noticed marine technician wanted (or similar) signs at most of the local marinas. The signs usually remain all season. I wonder why there seems to be a shortage of technicians ? Or maybe the marinas will just not pay enough. I've wondered if the technicians have to provide their own tools ? And what about all the special OEM specified tools for each engine ? Those tools can be very expensive. Do "authorized" or "master" technicians buy all those special tools or do they make do with work arounds ? And if they use work arounds are you really getting master technician services ?
