Have a 2005 225 Optimax non pro xs. Will be upgrading to a 4 stroke soon. Will I need to change throttle control? Hotfoot? I have analog gauges, will I need to upgrade gauges as well?

Control box is the same, hotfoot may have to be changed to achieve proper throttle calibration. Analog gauges should be fine as well.

You will need a different rigging tube kit, and will likely need to extend your keyswitch harness (often 10' extension is the best option as it keeps the 14-pin out of the rigging tube).
Steering needs to be inspected to validate it's in excellent condition, jackplate also, battery will need to be a minimum of 975 CCA for a fishing application (I would recommend AGM), and you'll need a propeller that's suitable for the new setup (often 2 pitch points lower than current prop).
If you don't have a Smartcraft Display, VesselView or Smartcraft Connect, this would be the appropriate time to plan for it also.
