So is the Minn Kota Quest pretty bulletproof so far ?

Still using a newer fortrex - Thinking about Finally purchasing a spot lock motor and focusing on the quest at this point....... Through some research, they seem pretty good. Someone was describing the quest as the Ultrex With lots of improvements and all the bugs are gone from the previous version.... For those guys who have run the Quest motor for a year, what has your experience been? Has it proven to be reliable and not in the shop ? Or have you experienced problems, if so what have you run into? Lastly, if there's anything you don't like about the motor, what is it?

I just made the switch from the regular Ultrex to the Quest. Early impressions are nothing but positives. It's a much improved TM. It's a beast. I need more time with it beforeI say it's all that but so far I really like it and glad I made the swap.

I had fortrex,I went with a quest is past april.I fish rivers and bump into trees, logs stumps etc.I have not had the first single issue with mine.I would make that purchase again.I like spotlock, the ease of turning and panning when scoping.Very powerful and quiet.

The overall quietness is still odd to me. I keep checking to see if it's really on. It's whisper quiet and smooth.

Have an Ultrex on my boat but ran my dads boat for a day with his new Quest and I have to say its far and away better than mine. Best trolling motor I've ever used. Not enough time to say it doesn't have problems but it is damn nice.

Haha. My regular Ultrex on my Skeeter isn’t that loud. The Ghost on my Ranger sounds like R2D2. Whirrrrrr-zzzziinng. Beep beeeeeep.

I might have to find someone that really wants a Ghost and swap with them while this thing is still new.

Took the P2 out today. 1st day with the Quest. I took the foot off the gas at 4.5 mph . No idea I'd she had more. My old ulrex would pull 3.2 mph.

Loved my Ultrex. Hated the Force. Ultrex Quest is on another level.

I've had mine a year, no issues. It seems a lot more efficient. I do run a 3 blade kipewa prop.

its a bit heavy to stow and deploy, I upgraded the shock now its a bit hard to get it down on the deck to stow it...

Long as u have good batteries then should be fine. It will go into limp mode when it detects low voltage. We still see bushing and board issues but very very few

They are always the greatest the first few years, and then the complaints start showing up…The quest will be no different;)

I ordered an Ultrex Quest on my new boat last July. I've been on the water 15-20 times. It's been great....... powerful, spot lock is great, and anchor button is real convenient!

I have found the opposite to be true about the Ultrex. All the issues were with the first two years. Took them that long to address a few of the first run problems. Which have all been eliminated with the Quest. I've had mine since they first came out and have nothing but good to say about it.
