Fresh installs look just as good. The difference is the how long it stays glued, keeps its original color, and holds against stains. Installed some in smaller john type boat but its only been a few months.

I installed this flooring from Amazon
Gets dirty fast but easy to clean
Also the backing glue is not to good
I had to redo it and used 3M spay glue
Going strong for 3 seasons now

Question for you guys if water gets between the foam mat, you're putting down and the original carpet and fiberglass art you creating an environment that may rot out a floor eventually or cause mold? Or do you guys pull up these foam pads and allow underneath to dry out occasionally?

You remove the carpet before you put down the EVA
