Blacklights in rub rail, 2024 Ranger Z518

Recently bought a new 2024 Ranger Z518. On my last boat I had bluewater led blacklights in the rub rail on the passenger/port side. I really liked them for night fishing, which I do quite a bit of. On my last boat I paid a guy to install them, however he has since stopped installing them. I bought the kit to put 2 led blacklight strips on the port side of my new boat. I'm thinking about doing this myself. Just wondering if any of you have ever done this and have any advice? I know Ranger's are full of foam and was wondering if I drilled a small hole in the center rub rail off to the side of where the lights will be, will I be drilling into foam, or is it pretty simple to drill a small hole and get the wire through into the rod locker/compartments? The boat does have an ACC switch at the console, so I was thinking about running wires to that switch. Any advice from guys that have done this before is much appreciated. Thanks!

I did mine near the front of the boat so the wires would be accessible from the bow access cover. Pretty easy.
