Point 1 mount location on 520R

Where has everyone been mounting the point 1 puck on a 520R?

All the Point1 pucks I’ve seen are mounted in the rear deck starboard corner.

My Z520 has two. One on the starboard rear corner of the deck, the other is on the bow, next to the trolling motor.

Mount it under the rear lid. GPS will travel thru fiberglass

Mine is mounted on the back deck, passenger side, on the very rear corner of the deck. Personally, I don't like it mounted there and wish it was mounted where it was in my C boat. Right behind the driver's seat. When I'm running or my trolling motor is turned on high, it freaks the point 1 out and it makes the heading off and I can't stand it. On my next one, I'm going to mount it back where it was on my C boat...... at least request that anyway. LOL.

Not a 520R, but I have my Point1 puck installed on the area right next to the driver side console. In the area that the rods lie. It's out of the way, it's pretty much the middle of the boat. My installer has been doing this several years as they found it to be the most accurate location.

Sorry for the delay in posting and the poor picture quality I had a holeshot plate with a transducer mount from my previous Z520 with a 250 Merc 2 stroke. I cut it apart and mounted it in the rear hatch as shown using stainless 10-24 bolts and locknuts to one of the braces. It has worked flawlessly for me for 2 years plus in my 520C. The transducer is mounted to the bracket using 3M double sided automotive tape. I know everyone will say there is too much interference there with LI batteries and the 4 stroke Merc but it has worked great. Worked also when I had AGM batteries.
