    1810 Engine height.

The Yamaha 115 sho on my 1810 is mounted all of the way down. I was told by the dealer that this is how Yamaha wants them rigged. I've seen 1710's though on the second hole. Not ready to void the hull warranty with a jack plate but curious if anyone has raised the motor on a 1710/1810/1910.

My 1710 is mounted on the second hole. Are you running wet cell batteries or lithium? I am thinking about replacing the 3 wet cell batteries with 3 lithium batteries. If I do that I will probably have to drop my motor all the way down.

Mine too is in the 2nd hole. I replaced the wet cells with lithium and actually gained about 1 mph at 5900 rpm.....

Did you notice any difference when loading or unloading with less weight in the back?

No. I keep my bunks sprayed with silicone so the boat slides on and off very easy. When loading, the trailer fenders are about 3 to 4 inches above water.

I have a wet cell cranking battery and everything else lithium. I feel like the motor could come up a couple of holes to help with shallow water take off. Performance is fine otherwise.

So is it down so far where the water comes up to the cowling when lift off? Maybe the installer put it there and the dealer doesn't want to move it for you? Call G3. here's their number. 417-588-9787

I'll have to check mine. Exact same boat as the two guys above

I've asked and no one can tell my why it's hole #1 on the 1810. Might move it up someday. I'm only at 20 hours so I'll leave it be for a while.

Call Yamaha Marine. They do the performance bulletin tests and they should know. I've talked with them a few times over the years and they are very helpful.
