I haven't heard anything lately, but I fished it for the first time last summer. There are a few good hard, bottom places in the lake, but most of the places I went the lake was extremely muddy bottom and shallow muck for over a mile offshore. I'm sure there are some good spots but I haven't been back. I did catch 3-4 flipping once I located some good bottom.
I idled for the last couple of miles back into the canal with my motor trimmed up. You could've followed my trail with your eyes closed due to all the muck I was stirring up out an open water. I hope it clears up eventually.

I live 5 minutes from the McDonald ramp on the A-B canal. Don't waste your time. Extremely hard compared to the rest of the chain. It's a big ****ing lake too, so to find hard bottom you are going to burn some fuel.

I have a friend that lives in Winter Garden and he told me of several fish kills in Apopka lately.

Not good on Apopka right now. Huge fish kill this week. I would try out a different lake.

They have gotten us right where they want us.....A little here, a little there, then the next thing you know no one really even blinks! It's really crazy the shape our lakes have gotten to. Kissimmee is pitiful these days.
