Can any of you lower unit guys tell me the setps to remove the prop shaft
from the lower unit housing. I have everything else apart except the shift
linkage in the lower unit and the prop shaft.

We would get carpel tunnel syndrome if we typed out the whole geacase section of the service manual for you instead of you begging, borrowing, or stealing one. Not only that, you would miss out on all the factory pictures showing how things are done.

OK Seahorse I don't want to see anyone hurt over a simple questionbut I don't really need the whole gearcase section just what I need to do to get the last parts out of the case. If it's that complacted I'll see what I can steal from the parts store.
Anyone know of a good bailbondsman?

IM or call Gearcaseman 423-336-5618 He will know. If you want to work on your rig the factory manual is invaluable and worth every penny. JMHO
That one is best left to the pros.
Well I finaly got the shaft out. I found a parts breakdown and found out there wasn't anything in the way that might break or bend . A little force and it came right out. I will get a book for the reassembly.
I was hoping for at least a little help so I could get it apart and order parts before the weekend.
