Bought a new 80lb Ultrex the other year, installed myself, everything works great. EXCEPT, when I turn the knob to 3 power, the motor changes pitch/tune and gets very noisy. At 2 it's a low hum, at 4 and up its a louder hum. But from about 2.5-3.5, there is a significant difference in sound as well as volume. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? I've fishing it for awhile now and am tired of not having 3 power, as that's a sweet spot for a lot of fishing conditions.
Prop may be off balance now. Take it off, turn it 180 degrees, and reinstall. If not, try a new prop.

I had a similar issue with mine but I think it was on speed 4. Had a definite change in noise and vibration only at that speed. My solution was to go slower or faster

Get a g force eliminator prop nut. I had loud humming noises with my ultrex with various speeds. Put on the g force and it all went away.
When mine was new in 2020 I was able to get a replacement prop from MinnKota. I think it was a common issue at the time. Might want to send them an email..
