A friend of mine has a 73 Johnson 40hp and he repainted the cover and now he's looking for new decals. Is it possible to get the original lettering pattern. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I don't believe you will find the original decals for that engine. You could have them custom made, http://www.iguanagrafix.com( Darryl ) can probably make them look indentical to the original as possible or you could go with something custom. He is a sponsor on here.....
You will need to point Daryl to LiquidNirvanah's threads posted here so he can get an idea of what to work with, The brochures are pinned at the top of the forum.
