My neighbor just got a Wired-Freedom and it looks pretty cool. I wonder if the prices will come down as the technology progresses as they appear rather pricey currently!

I have the Bee Cool Pathfinder and the wife has the Rad Rover 6 Plus... had them for over 3 years! They are awesome! No issues with either of them at all!! We paid like $1300 each and they are still about the same price. I wish I would have bought the step thru model!!!!

We've had Magnum E-bikes for 3 years now. Got like 1800 miles on them. No problems. They cost $2000 a little pricey but pretty nice rides.

I have 2 himiway and we are very happy with them. 22mph but can go faster if you change program. 60 mile range if your butt can handle it. They are great and we use them on the Florida rails to trails system

Things they are cool but for 5 k I would buy a motorcycle
I have the Lectric brand ling range 3.0 collapsible bike. I bought it to use for early and late season ice fishing. Last year I put nearly 60 miles on ice with it. I have about 30 road miles on it. It is a bit dorky looking but it is convenient to fold it and toss it in the back of the truck. Lectric now makes a fat tire mountain bike, that may be my second bike. Lectric is a great value for what you get. My initial bike had cabled disc brakes. do to speed and weight they were not strong enough for an ebike. Lectric sent new hydraulic brake upgrades to all 3.0 owners free of charge, they also offered up $100 to cover install labor. Pretty good customer service.
We have to define “pricey”, imo. I raced road bikes, and am accustomed to paying 3-5K for a bike with wheels and components that I want. And that was wholesale cost plus 10%, which was my employee deal at the shop.
There are some great <2K e-bikes out there. Very few are buying $5K e-bikes except for people like me that already ride thousands of miles each year.
The author’s writing has improved over time, but he has a pretty good Best Of e-bikes list broken down into price categories.

Pricey to me is over $1K as a regular bicycle can be had for less than $300 depending on how cheap you want to go for just normal everyday riding.
Just like everything in this world, you can go cheap or very expensive. E-bikes can be had from what I’ve seen from $800 to $15k and the same goes for regular bikes. But I can tell you after riding 5 different brand or model e-bikes now that you get what you pay for.
I have a Vitilan I7 pro that was about $1200. 25 mph with about 70 mile range if you help pedal.
Got about 700 miles on it in 4 months, I ride it every day 10-20 miles cruising around my small town.
I have a quiet Kat that I use for bowhunting. Great off road, goes thru mud and rough trails surprisingly well. Not cheap but it does exactly what I bought it for very well

But what's the best value? When I shopped around for mountain bikes this spring there were a few that people continuously said were the best bang for your buck. (Bought an Ibis Ripley AF $2600) I suspect ebikes are the same? Granted, I'm 50 and I figure I have a couple more mountain bikes to go before going the ebike route. I did have a conversation with a fella on the trails today who is 71 and he was training for an upcoming race. Think he talked me into entering it too.![]()

That I can’t honestly answer, there are a lot of different style e-bikes. I wanted a full suspension fat tire mountain e-bike so I went with the Cyrusher Ranger after a lot of research. I wanted it for mainly hunting, but I see myself using it for more trail riding in the future.
Dad won one of these at the PX, pretty cool.

we have a E cell a Mokwheel obsidian a pasalac a totgaurd a luna x2.5 a velotric and a aerial rider kepler what do you want to know lol
The e cell is the best bang for the buck period. It runs 38-45 on flat ground and has full suspension. The mokwheel obsidian is a lot lighter and is better if your running trails with jumping and if you need to push it for bad terrain it’s easier. But there’s nothing that will out run the e cells 40 amps controller and 60volt battery. Its built like a tank .
The luna is a mid drive and is the hill climbing champ as luna says no body has caught us yet.All carbon fiber frame and 2500 watts of pure power on the mid drive and super light. If you want the best at down hill enduro riding it’s a beast. The motor is basically quite.but it’s 4500 dollars and a couple upgrades like wireless shifter your in the 5500 range.
