Live well access panel.

I have a 1999 Champ 187. I need to replace a live well light. Can I get to it through the access panel in front of the gas tank? If so do I need to remove the gas tank to get it out? Thanks for any information.

The 93 201 I had I think is similar to your 99. It's the last one I had with the gas tank in the rear compartment. There was a screw buried in the carpet in the upper corners of the panel. After removing them, the panel would lift up and out.
