Indy 500 and Coca Cola 600 --- What a Day

I'm committed to being a couch potato starting at 12. Both are kinda snooze fest races, but I'd like to see KL do well in the open wheel cars.

This is the day besides football season where I just watch tv all day. Try to catch all 3 big races and will try to catch the hockey game if I can.

I never fish on this day.

I’m currently about an hour west of Indy, it’s pouring here right now and from what I can see on the weather app it’s not going to stop for a while. It’s not looking got for the race to start on time. They say rain should pull out of here at like 1:30

Rick Hendricks said the 600 was priority and if Indy got delayed, there was a back up driver set.

I think it might be the opposite, but conflicting stories on the news.

Jeff Gordon was explaining earlier that Larsson had committed to the 500 and knew the risks. The risks being that he might lose out on points in the Nascar race.

Larson already has a win this year in NASCAR and is in the playoffs. He ain’t leaving Indy unless he has problems.

Growing up in Indy, had the chance to attend the 500 a number of times. Nothing can match the start of the Indy 500. Simply electric.

Attended four of them during the 70’s and 80’s. Two with my dad and two with my future father-in-law. Great times, watching this one with my 96 year old dad.
