Was he using bear spray on cattle? Some people DO NOT need to be in the woods alone.

I never go into the woods without a can of cow spray.

Cows are used to being around people and will follow anyone.

Depends, cows are docile, bulls not so much.. we used to turkey hunt on some farm land that was pretty forested. The farmer would let the cows wander in the wooded areas and there’s been a few times where the bulls charged us. The farmer told us a few times to not be afraid to shoot them if they do

in this instance, these cows were definitely just following him, most of the time they’d just like large puppies

Many years ago, when I bird hunted at every opportunity, i was pulled into a pasture and parked. The farmer had a herd of Holstein heifers and they all came running as soon as I stopped. They were jousting and head butting each other trying to be first in line for something to eat. I really thought my truck would be dented on all four corners when I returned, To my surprise, there were no dents but those heifers had licked every spot on that truck they could reach. What a mess.

What you can’t see off camera is his buddy shaking the bag of range cubes behind him.

We take rejected cranberries to farms some times as animal feed. The cows see the truck coming and all head for the gate where we back in and dump them. Harmless big stinky animals.

Shoot them? I've been fortunate enough to hunt on some ranches in West and South Texas and there were bulls on almost all of them. They all had the same rule that if you shot a bull or cow you would be out thousands of dollars (for the bull many thousands) and then kicked off the lease. This guy needs to stay out of the woods- what a wuss.

Probably expected to get fed. Had about 20 dairy cattle that had escaped from a farm about a mile from my house & found their way into my & my neighbors yards. Seen the outline of 1 go by my back patio door. Spooky at night. Figured out what was up & called sheriff's office to get a unit to scene to prevent someone hitting them on road. Did not have a phone # or name of anyone at dairy.Deputy arrived & we discussed what was going on. Cruiser sitting in front of my house with lights on. Cattle all came to car from neighbors pond area to the car. Deputy started walking in direction of farm & cattle followed . Kept going & was about 1/8 mile down road when 2nd deputy showed up. Probably only time I will see a police escort for cattle. Walked all back to the farm with 2nd cruiser following as escort as I watched. When deputy returned I told them that they can now add Cowboy to their resumes & we all had a good laugh.
