first trip to Falcon.... any thoughts?

Going to get my V card punched and head across 2 states and fish falcon towards the end of April....
I have never fished the great state of TX so I don't want to make any assumptions on what fish would be doing on a lake I have never seen but could any of you fine fisherman give me some info on what I could expect to see or do that time of year? Give me something good to dream about every night until the days finally arrive?

I love to find and fish off shore so I am hoping that is the case but any info would help greatly!

dont take any wimpy stuff.........there are a ton of big fish in that lake.....and they will break ya off on smaller gear.....lots of good trees/brush that hold great fish. fish the outer edges..............

was there last week, if your fishin deep, points with some rocks or brush on em. falcon lake tackle is a good web site
