Question 2004 200hp 3.0L EFI oil not filling up the small tank in the motor

Hi everyone, first time posting here. I have a 2004 200hp 3.0L EFI (Serial number: 0T907976) and the oil is not filling up the small tank in the motor.

I have done some troubleshooting according to the valuable informations in this forum but I'm still not able to resolve this issue.
First I checked that all the connections are air tight, nothing's clogged and I was able to find the crankcase check valve is not stopping air going into the crank case.
Then I replaced the check valve. Unfortunately, it's still not pushing the oil up. Then I unplugged the air hose going into the big tank and put a finger on it. I don't feel much pressure from the air.
Although if I listen closely to the hose, I can hear a sound like "pi pi pi pi pi pi pi pi.......". I am now suspecting the air coming out of the crankcase is just not enough to push the oil up.

Later I was inpecting the old check valve, I found something interesting. I can see straight through the check valve as there is nothing in it. I assume there should be something to block air from one direction.
And the little wire mesh on the inside end of the check valve has a whole on it. So I am suspecting something in the checkvalve has fallen into the crankcase and block something so that the air pressure is so weak.

I am not sure how the the crankcase work to create that air pressure. Please share your thoughts on my issue. Any information or thoughts are greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

You should not be able to blow both directions on that check valve...I suppose you may have part of that valve floating around in your engine now. There have also been reports of brand new factory one way valves being defective.

Replace the crankcase pressure check valve. A properly functioning valve allows pressure OUT of the crankcase but not back in.

AND the check valve will leak back EVER SO SLOWLY (to bleed pressure off the system after engine shutdown).

Did you check the main tank in your boat? I was having a similar problem and it turned out to be the oil gummed up blocking the pickup.

I already replaced the check valve and I'm able to blow with my mouth into the valve ever so slightly. Seems to be working as you described. Is there angthing that could go wrong in the crankcase that cause the air pressure to be weak?

I'm not able to blow into the the checkvalve after replacing the checkvalve. Any chance that the crankcase is producing enough air pressure?

low compression , broken reed valve

How long did you run it after replacing the check valve. It won't happen immediately. It needs to pressurize the tank and then start pushing oil into the engine tank. If your main tank is not full it will take even longer as it needs to build up air pressure enough to push the oil through the system. And as Joe said it's possible reed valve or low compression. You said part of the check valve may be in the motor. It's possible that it is lodged between reed and seat.

It does need to build up pressure... usually at least 60 seconds of running (may require more in some cases). THEN attempt to bleed.

As for "If you main tank is not full"... that would be 80% of it's fluid capacity (DON'T fill the tank to the brim).

I let it run for couple of minutes nothing came out of the oil tube.
