I have them and like them as well. I can almost jackknife and not hit them with my Phoenix.

I had to extend my hitch almost 6 inches to keep from hitting my tailgate. But they didn’t make the steps for my trailer. So I had to get a universal set of steps.
just down the street from me also. I recommend them but have not bought any. very well made and a great little local company

mmmhmmm.. Backing in the driveway with a hard turn got my bumper purdy good. about $1800 in damage.
Steps will be the next purchase for my boat.
Best aftermarket investment I made were the steps and spot lock!
Now that I've had trailer steps I won't own a boat without them. Same with the ramp n clamp.

I spoke with them a few days ago and they told me they redesigned with new angles so that turning radius is not affected. That is what sold me on Efx

You must be younger then me, to much distance between your 3 steps for my old knees. I went with a 4 step Trick Step.

Me too, I am 77 and love the 4 step, just wish the step pads were a little bigger for my size 12 foot. My Triton trailer tongue allows me to turn as sharp as I need to even with the tailgate down and the EFX steps are not in the way.
I bought the 4 step BoatEFX only because it was all they had left when they were selling off the last of the first generation steps and I'm glad I did. Extends no closer to the ground than the trailer frame and puts the top step even with the deck. Never had any issues with making sharp turns, in fact on the boat I have it would be impossible to even get close to my truck based on where the steps are mounted and the length of the tongue. I would not hesitate to buy another set in the future.
