Pantera Classic lithium trolling motor batteries

Has anyone made the switch from lead acid to lithium ion trolling motor batteries? I have a 2020 pantera classic with 200 merc and was just wondering if anyone has seen a gain or loss in speed. I know some boats slow down with weight taken out of the back end. Let me know if anyone can help.

I went to lithium on mine. I dropped the jack plate a bit. I'd call it a wash, saw under a half mph more but it could have been other factors. But did not lose speed.

I swapped to lithium, added poles and gained a mph. Jackplate is set 1/4 inch above flush.

you will not lose MPH. you just need to make setup adjusts to account for the redistribution of weight. Given all other things your boat will be more nose heavy so likely will have to drop plate a bit. you can also move more tackle weight back. my 18 has lithiums and came that way. I struggled to set it up as it made it a different animal than previous cats I have owned. Lower motor height and a prop that really lifts (good luck with a scorpion 3 blade on mine). mine has a 2 stroke pro xs, poles, lthium batteries. I fill my front, center rod locker to the brim with tackle so I run really nose heavy. the lithiums have the back sitting higher and I can get my boat into some really shallow water.
