    DOVE!!!!!

I finished all my mowing and discing of the dove fields yesterday and man the birds were in the fields this morning. I bet I saw 150 birds just here at the house. I'm booked up opening weekend and about booked for the year. I sure hope they stick around for opening weekend.
Never had a year like this in the past, lot of my neighbors don't have dove fields this year but the ones that do have lots of birds too. Going to be interesting to see what kind of year we have with this drought. This year I've seen more Whitewing than I have ever seen before. Usually their closer to town, I guess their having to move to find food and water.

Your right, one day their here and the next their gone. That mostly happens when the rain and fronts start coming though. I stopped trying to predict birds a long time ago. I always just tell my hunters what I'm seeing that day because tomorrow might be better or worse.
