BBT makes a new “Hood Style” mount that looks good. I would definitely recommend something that can be thru bolted. The stainless wood screws that hold the plate to the fiberglass don’t hold up very well in rough water. Ask me how I know…
I just put on a BBT mount over the recessed TM foot pedal. Bolted it through the deck with fender washers underneath. Very strong. Is anything great lakes sturdy? LOL
str8 up bolted through the deck for me. Have 2 12's mounted to it and it seems very sturdy.

I also used a STR Up mounted ouver my foor pedal. Works great for me with 2 heavy units..

I have a Procise with a 126SV and a HDS12 live. It's a 3 point mount that the most stable i have ever used.
I have a BBT on the Console and have used them in the past on the bow but really like the 3 point mount,
