Looking at some motors for my 87 189, found a couple but been very hard to find a Long Shaft most used decent in my area have been XL. Found a 2001 Mercury 175 efi XL my concern is would I get enough adjustment with a jackplate to make up the 5 in extra length? Also found a 1988 150 xr4 but price between 2 is not much. Thanks for any help making this decision.
You need a 20 inch shaft.
bass boats use a 20 inch lower? is that a bass boat?
