    Karl was "Off Course"

I wish I would have been in shape to laugh yesterday mornin, but I cracked up thinkin about it today.
Karl comes over to where I was fishin I says, I think I need some help with this GPS. It tells me I'm still on Livingston in White Rock Creek. I said, man I don't know, I'm battling the worst hangover in years, but I'm about 99% certain we are in Toledo Bend. He gets a little closer and is mashing the buttons and the thing is beeping it's ass off.... beeep, beeep, beeep, beeep. It's was hurting my head I hear Karl say, "I'm off course", "how can I be off course, I didn't set a course". He drifted off and a little later came by and said he had it figgered out. Evidently he HAD set it to navigate to White Rock Creek and never cancelled it.
So I'd say the unit was correct Karl, you were a bit off course.

Re: Karl was "Off Course" (WB)

hey, the drunk bastud bought a Navionics chip from GB the night before and I asked him, "Karl do you have East Texas selected on the "map choice" menu?" He says I forgot the chip at Reds place ehh.

by the way Karl, did you ever try the chip?

Re: Karl was "Off Course" (WB)

I finally found that damned "Turn Off Navigation" option on the menu, sheesh! On top of it all when I wired the graphs to a switch it's apparently on the accessory circuit because every time I started the motor the LCX turned off, putting me back on Livingston/White Rock... It was really pissing me off. Oh, and to top that off I bough a Premium South card from GB the night before & we left it at Reds when we took off Some days it's just better to sit & drink

Hey Troy you should have been there when he centered the boat road marker. It was funny as hell. Now anytime I watch Weekend at Bernie's I'll think of Karl and the boat road marker.

You need to buy the boat run chip with the buoys on it.
Last spring, somebody dead centered the cross over marker from Fin and Feather to Ashmore. I came up on it early in the morning and there was about 3 inches left above the water and a thousand pieces of foam floating all around. I tlooked like a bomb hit it. I couldn't help but laugh to myself, wondering how big a pile of poop the driver layed in his drawers when he hit that thing at full speed.

I was just wishing Hollow Point had his camera phone ready, he was seeing the whole bottom of my boat when I went through that buoy
Maybe I should take up part time stunt boat driving
