    10 Oct report

Hit a public lake and we caught at least 20. Water starting to cool fast now as it was 62 when he started. Still managed to catch some topwater but most would just pull it under versus the viscous hits we got last time.

Thanks for the report! I’ve seen upper 60’s wt. Things are really changing fast. I had a little frost on my windshield this morning. I was working on some tackle in the boat tonight and took a few rods out and put a few jerkbait rods in. That time is coming as the water starts to cool and clear up. Starting to be the time I have to dress pretty warm in the morning and then take stuff off as the day goes. Not the best forcast for Saturday with high north winds. I just hate the higher winds it makes everything harder on the water. Oh well that’s Iowa.

Im the opposite as I hate dead calm. Wind really helps fishing especially if you have spotlock

Yeah I agree but I’m talking over 25mph winds. Right now Saturday forecast is for gusts over 30mph… it’s just my opinion of course. It won’t stop me from going just a little more challenging I guess.

Would that be the public lake I'm thinking it is? You always do well there when I get skunked or catch nothing but dinks

Where is your tournament? Good luck

Yes sir I'm sorry. I found it after I asked. Interesting lake for only being 300 acres. Looks like a lot of summertime recreational boating and jet ski activity. How do you like the HOA?
