Installing a rebuilt power head. What else do I need to look at?

So I am having to install a new power head (myself) on my 2010 250 pro xs serial number 1B764737.

I recently posted about fuel injectors and compressor and it brought more questions up so I figured I would do it this way.

while replacing my power head what else should I look at? Upgrades? Replacements? Filters besides fuel? I have the mercury manual and am pretty good mechanically just not with this outboard. So with that said I want to make everything right while I am at it.

    new thermostats
    serp belt
check tensioner with in lbs torque wrench
all three in line oil filters
    New wires
    fuel filter and lines
    rebuild pulse pump
    Water pump
    replace gear lube
Most important send fuel rails off to DON (Integrity Injection for service)
Pull the top off the compressor for a closer inspection, even better replace it and keep the old one for a spare

Thats the way I would do it
    Thank You Leon Pugh

Exactly what I needed. I can tell you what to do on a car motor but this mercury has a few extra parts.

    +1

Also need to inspect REEDS, check intake and reeds for any debris! This is sometimes missed, real bummer when the second powerhead ingests the debris from the 1st one!

Also, if there was any portion of any piston or sleeve missing- check the exhaust AND THE GEARCASE for trapped pieces.
