    Lights on Residential Riding Mowers.

Why? I mean who cuts their grass that early in the morning or late in the evening to need them?

I use them in mid-late fall, mulching leaves after I get home from work.

Me and the wife were headed out to go fishing real early to beat the summer heat. Driving down a two lane highway there was a guy mowing at 430AM and all he was wearing was his underwear. I can’t drive by that place without that picture coming back to me. It always makes me and the wife laugh.

Ours are commercial but a few of my neighbors and myself do because its cooler at night during the summer, no need to sit on an oven in an oven.

I tried when I was younger but the lights weren't that good then. I'd imagine they are much brighter now.

As mentioned, cooler at night after the sun goes down. I don't enjoy sitting on a mower when it is 93-103 degrees. Lights and night are an option. Early morning the grass is usually too wet......hard on blades and mower belts.

I feel your pain! Its Sunday and for two of mine its grass cutting day and the one next door under our bed room window knowing we are up at 3am every Monday. If it wasn't for my other good neighbors I'd throw a 1/4 stick of dynamite in the back yard at 3am might make my point.

In the North lawn tractors are also used for snow removal mounted with blade or blower, its dark when people get home from work, lights are necessary.

True this. We have a 1/4 mile driveway and when it snows overnight, I’m out 90 minutes before sunrise plowing. My driveway also abuts a state highway, and the people heading to work need to see me when I’m plowing out the end of the lane!

    Yep, 100% spot on.

I used a snowblower on mine and lights were needed for sure. I ended up putting a 12” LED light bar on the hood of my tractor to really light things up a lot better than the stock headlights. Worked great for me for a number of years.

This is true but lawn and garden tractors are ill equipped for the job.

I used mine for 2 seasons. 25hp kohler and a berco blower. Loaded rear tires with chains. It will throw snow a honest 50 feet. That little set up has never failed to impress me. Cj

I know a retired AF Colonel with a very large yard/park around the house and about a thousand acres of potatoes in Alaska.

I always wanted to mow at 3am to get even with my neighbors mowing while I was trying to sleep during the day when working night shift.
