Just for fun, I thought I'd mention that when I am fishing for bass and walleye I run the LVS62 on 250 ft. Yes...I can see them that far.
My wife asks if I'm going to fish every day. I can't fish every day. Some days I might be sick.
I've run my LVS34 out to 200' and been able to see bait and schools of bass on the lake I fish. It is deep and clear water. I'm running a GPSMAP8412.
I scan out to 120 feet for deep smallies. It gets a little harder to tell which species is which scanning out that far, but I find if you can fire a cast at them when they are that far away the odds of getting a bite can go way up.
