Heading to town for groceries(-5 spelling) Then off to Ray Roberts! Still ain't got my truck fixed,but they're working on it.Staying at home is killing me,I've installed a shower,new sink faucets,brakes on wifes truck,fixed injector leak on dad's tractor,cleaned 25 yrs of crap outa dad's shop,x-mas lites,filled in all holes in dog runs,dogs to the vet,dog bathsx5,installed pool cover,smoked brisket,ruined ribs(according to wifey),unclogged neighbor lady's drain.
Was at the park off fm455 today after work for a bit. Only got a dink off a rattle trap from the shore line by the boat ramp. I was good to get out a little today tho.
I caught 7 little fish,lost 2 off a dropoff/roadbed ....got excited pulled their heads up out of water and they shookoff.I'm going again today as soon as I get my chores done.
I hope to go on Friday for awhile before heading back to work. I thought I'd be at the farm all week but had to change plans. Now I get to fish for a day!
Kevin, I went Friday afternoon.Caught 2 bass,but got into the sandbass and ended up cleaning 25.
Well, I hope next Friday they will still be biting good. Just hope this wind will calm down by then also.
Guess what? I went again this evening......not the brightest move I've ever made what with the breeze and all.I did catch a 16 inch bass off a rocky point and another off a submerged tank dam on a jigging spoon.The boat ran pretty dang good in the wind,I'm impressed with it.
You guy's are lucky, living close to the lake. I try to get down every spring, I like it around the first of April. Good luck fishing.
