MLF highlights, Becker and AJ jr same fish?

Looks like from the highlights from today Becker and AJ Jr might have caught the same fish. Exact same spot. 5.4 and 5.3 weight.

I noticed the same thing. Poor fish will probably be caught 10 more times b4 the event is up.

This is the rule. Wonder if " Anglers " means one or a bunch of Anglers. Guess they can catch it again the next day if it is still there.

. When sight fishing (visibly targeting bass), anglers cannot weigh the same bass more than once per day. Catching the same bass while sight fishing more than once per day (and weighing it more than once per day) may result in loss of weight, loss of fishing time, a fine or any other penalty as outlined in 3A as determined by the Tournament Director.

One angler...how are other anglers supposed to know what fish was already caught

All of those problems would be solved if they put them in the live well like a real bass tournament.

It is my understanding the ref can only tell them the weight, not where or how or what lure?.......They even made the comment yesterday that alot of anglers are marking their screens and tagging them with the weight of the fish so they can come back later in the week and see if they can catch it again......

Run the same 5 fish for 5 days and have 25lbs every day. I could easily see someone catching the same 6lbr several times throughout the tournament. Not likely to actually happen but that’s the concept and perfectly within the rules.

Northern Smallmouth are that dumb. But, it is possible it's a different fish? Place is clearly loaded with them.

True! Also this tournament would not be happening right now! Catch and release until June 15th.

If they were real men they would use cane poles for rods.

Can't believe they would allow a tourny during catch and release only season. In PA the rules strictly state, absolutely no tournaments, during this time. Must be different in NY?

Dilema. Do you catch it again today or wait for the final tomorrow. Or both??

I know. PA is catch and IMEADIATE RELEASE and NO CASTINGTO BASS ON REDDS(beds). No pictures, no weighing, no paper tournaments and no targeting of bass on beds!

ill play devils advocate. Fish for release fish? BASS also does CWR at places like Fork. So whats to say they do not do the same thing? BP and Walters fished the same school for 2-3 days last year.
