Thinking of removing rod organizer from port side locker 21XRS. Who has done so?

I have a 2015 21XRS with the original 9 rod organizer on the port side. I am thinking of removing the organizer and just using rod sleeves and laying rods in loose. Should be able to hold a lot more rods that way.

I removed the 4 screws holding in the front bracket and rod tubes in, but the bracket seems to be glued in also. Before I go all Godzilla and rip it out, would like to hear what other people have done and any tips they might have. Is the bracket in fact glued in also or am I missing something? Thanks.

I removed mine as soon as I got it home. Mine wasn’t glued but was kinda wedged in there. You can hold a lot more rods without it.

I dont have one in mine. Ive had 25 rods in mine and could still pull one out of the bottom row. Key is to stagger the reels in 3 sections and use bait covers on all crankbaits.

Mine has been gone since day one. Wasn't glued in. Rod socks and bait covers on treble hooked baits. I've had over 30 in my box.

Removed them in both of the xrs I had. My advice is go godzilla! lol

I had to use something to wedge in behind it until I got it back enough to get my fingers behind it. It was a pain the entire way out.
