    Low Stern

    2007 Ranger 20VX with 225 Opti and no jack plate.
    When not on plane (graphing)engine is low in water to the point pee hole is under water.
    Is this common with this setup? New boat to me.

    measure prop to pad needs to be 3-3.5 inches below seems to be too low? is the rub rail well above the waterline?

    no chance of lots of wet foam in the rear of the hull area??

    I had (still do to a lesser extent) the same problem after I repowered. New motor was 100 lbs heavier plus I added a pair of Talons. I lightened the load by switching my trolling batteries to lithium. I will eventually switch the cranking battery to lithium as well.
