I’m trying to help my old man find some information on the new 250SS (DF250ATSS). He’s looking to repower his Champion 206 with one but is having a hard time getting any info on the new model.

His main concern is the digital foot throttle. He fishes Lake Erie and is concerned about the fly by wire hotfoot being too sensitive in the rough water.
Can it be rigged with cable throttle and shift?

any reviews of the digital foot throttle?

Know of a dealers out there that have rigged these? He’s talked to a couple dealers near him but they don’t have much experience with the SS series. He’d love to get on the phone with someone that really knows the platform.
