    Jordan or Harris

I'm coming down the last week of March, but I have a few questions.

    1. Is that a good time? If so what kind of baits to use?

    2. Which lake would you spend your 3 days on?

    3. What are the ramps like? Safe? Pay ramps?

    4. Where to stay?

    Appreciate any info

A great time to catch a pig and can be done on either lake. Ramps are cool and you can avoid paying to launch. Both lakes would regularly be ready to fire for somebody with little knowledge of the lakes. You would most likely be running into spawn and pre-spawn fish. This of course will depend a bit on the winter. The water temps are a tad higher than normal at the moment. But that can change with some cool nights and rains. I generally hang at Jordan until April then head to Harris. But if things are ahead of schedule you can whack'em at either. Good thing is the lakes are not far from each other. Go to one and if it doesn't work out hit the other one. Good luck. I'll be doing the same (I hope). Pigs live at Falls too.

Finding lodging check out Cary, NC. If not staying there you might consider camping at one of the campgrounds near boat accesses.

There is new Hampton Inn in Holly Springs that is a pretty good place to stay. Not far from Shearon Harris and just beyond that is Jordan.
