    Betting on Nuclear War

    Recently a trader bought 50,000 VIX 150 calls.

    Most agree that the only way the VIX hits 150 would be from the launch of nuclear ICBMs from Russia and the US. In which case does it really matter that your trade worked out. I doubt the markets would be open for anyone to collect.

    So either Putin himself put on this trade, or a Wall Street Bets degenerate did.

    Talk about way out of the money. I wonder who sold the calls on that and what the premium was.

    I'd never make the bet, but I'm not hating it considering the myriad of issues currently.
    Winter is going to be tough, very tough. Cold, hunger, etc. Worldwide recession now.
