    I saved another one!

It's crazy that I've come across two seagulls that were destined for certain death. This one was wrapped in something different than a fishing lure and line. Luckily, I captured it on video. He did get a couple good pecks in on me.

    Good on you!

They definitely are a pain, but I just couldn't keep on fishing and ignoring it. I don't like seeing animals suffer.

We only get one life here and so do they. Saving one of God’s creatures is always a good thing unless ,it’s a self defense situation.

I have rescued ones that got into our lines surf fishing at the beach. The trick is to put a towel or rag over their head and they calm right down.
    Good deed!

I've saved a few myself caught in/with discarded broken off lines and bottom rigs. It's surprising how little they weigh. Saved a Great Blue Heron once caught in a hook and discarded line. I'm not a saint, but they are God's creatures and who knows, maybe there's some karma from it. Seagulls are generally reguarded as lazy, but I've taken the Cape May/ Lewes ferry, and you should see them dive for fish off the stern when the boat gets under power.
