Close look at the Mercury Racing 60R on a mini rocket Tuff 16

We look closely at a Tuff 16 that was repowered by a new Mercury Racing 60R, previously powered by a 60 Formula Race. And we compare other 60 HP outboards at the same time. What's interesting is the guys at Tuff have run almost every 40-90 HP outboard on the Tuff 16, so they have a good amount of knowledge. Although the 60 Mercs are great, they really like the 60 Suzuki overall, and the Yamaha is a runner up.

I liked the small tunnel hulls with V4 Yamaha and OMC outboards that used to compete in the Southern Drag Boat Assn races. They were surprisingly fast. It seems that most of them were from Louisiana and Texas.
