    Beer

Last time anyone takes beer out on a guide trip. NO MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2 guys bring a six pack I thinking okay they will split it up and have 1 or 2 beers maybe, Put them acually on some good fish for Travis, I found them last week stacked up lots of 2 to 4 lb fish. 1 guy does not drink I find out. By about 9:30 guy is out of beer and nasty, wants to go back to the ramp so we can get him more beer out of the truck. I say no we are here to fish, have a Coke in the cooler. He mumbles something in the back of the boat, his buddy says don't pay any attention to him, then he starts it up again. I say okay lets go. Run back to the ramp, we get out he heads for their car and I head for my truck. Back down ramp load the boat on trailer. The fricking drunk comes up to me and says we are not finished fishing, I say yes we are, this is the end of the 1/2 day trip. I am not a really big guy but will not be intimidated, due to my training. well sure enough he goes to push me, so my training kicks in, Have not used it for 8 yrs or so. next thing you know he is flat faced on the ground and I am ready to break his arm. Long story, I let him go, his buddy is apoligizing to me, and gives me 350. for the trip. The DRUNK is walking away mumbling still. saying I kill you if you ever do that again. Sure wish he would of come back. but he kept on walking. 1 bad trip a year is all I want and that is 1 to many. But it is over now. Sure glad I didn't have to hurt anyone. Last time I used my training I was arrested but 2 guys went to hospital. So it could of been worse.

    Re: Beer (MaverickPro201)

Sorry to hear that Les. There are just some SOB's out there and there is no getting away from them. Don't blame you no more beer on guide trips, they are there to fish and not drink beer.
Glad everything turned out good and no one was hurt.

    Re: Beer (CrazyElvis)

Its that kind of thing that makes me say "no" to ANY alcohol in my boat. I had one person ask me "What does it matter if I drink?... I'm not driving!". To that I replied "Yeah, but if you fall overboard, it's me that is going to have to drag your drunk butt back into the boat... and I don't want some drunk drowning me because they are panicked and can't swim - or just can't think straight drunk and in the water.

Beer and boating just don't mix in my book.

    All the best,
    Glenn

Kelly, I thought that was a picture you took of yourself in the mirror. Don't encourage him Darrell.

Glad it turned out OK, Les!

One bad trip annually shouldn't be the norm, but we all know they're out there

And YES, CE that was funny (at least to me)

He's drinking that early and Drunk by 9:30 AM. He's got a bad problem. There's not enough money in anybody's pocket that show's up with Beer, that I would take out in my boat.
