I have a problem with my 2005 Evinrude 225 HO E-Tec model E225DHLSDF, serial 05134136 which experiences heat alarm in long no-wake zones. I live in AZ and am running in clear water. Water pressure at 5 mph no-wake is about 6 - 7 lbs.

The alarm has intermittently triggered since the motor was installed on my 2000 Stratos 21SS Extreme. If I "goose" the throttle or run the no-wake at 7 or 8 mph with about 8 - 9 lbs of water pressure, the alarm does not occur, or at least not as often. The Persistent Engine fault codes 11, 25, 31, 43, 69, and 97.

Over the course of the past 3 years the local shop has removed and sealed the grommet and popet, with various updates applied on several occasions. The EMM date code is 05J1F, Prog Version 3030241, and Prog Revision 90797.

Evinrude instructed the local shop to change the water pump and housing about 1 year ago and the alarm did not trigger until my last outing about 2 weeks ago. I have probably only put 10 - 15 hours on the motor since the pump was replaced last February.

Has anyone out there seen this problem before that can provide some suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Don
